Two robbery incidents worth Rs 10.5 lakh in Mumbai
Mumbai, Nov 13 (UNI) Two incidents of robbery worth more than Rs 10.5 lakh were reported in the city during the last 24 hours.
In an incident, unidentified persons burgled a house at Navghar in the eastern suburb of Mulund last evening and they decamped with valuables and cash worth Rs 5,43,600.
The incident occurred when the complainant, Rajeshwari Mali (48), a housewife, had gone to market to buy vegetables. When she returned, she found the door lock broken and household goods scattered in the room, police said here today.
In another incident, three people, who had booked a car from a travel agency for travelling to Godhra in Gujarat, allegedly threatened the car driver at gunpoint near Vile Parle in North West Mumbai yesterday.
They asked him to get down of the car before fleeing with the booty, including car, Rs 20,000 cash and a mobile phone, aggregating Rs 5.25 lakh. Following which, the driver, Rajkumar Kuchikurne, lodged a complaint against the absconding accused, police added.
