Jamshedpur, Nov 13 (UNI) The Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF) and the Women Empowerment Cell of this steel major has organised a ten-day trek to the Himalayas for the lady employees of the company.
A communique issued by the company here today said a team of 26 women, including participants from outstation sites of Tata Steel like West Bokaro, Noamundi, Jamadoba, Joda and Wire Division, Mumbai, will leave for New Delhi tomorrow.
''The objective of this trek is to focus on development of the human potential through teamwork. It aims to build trust and fellow feeling amongst all employees of the Tata Group, across all levels and positions,'' the communique added.
The team will report to the Base Camp at Rawada in Uttarakhand on November 16. The first four days at the base camp will be used to impart practical training on various aspects of mountain climbing.
On Day Five, the team will move towards Darwa Top which is at a height of 13,550 feet and 34 kms from Base Camp. The participants will return to the base camp on Day Ten taking a different route.
