Silver, gold open low on bullish advice

Mumbai, Nov 13: Values of both the precious metals fell on Thursday, Nov 13, with silver declining by Rs 175 per kg and gold by Rs 95 per ten gm, following lack of fresh demand from jewellery makers in view of weak global advices, traders in the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Even in London market too, both the precious metals witnessed a negative trend, as gold was quoted at USD 715.00/716.50 (738.00/739.25) per troy ounce, while silver was at USD 09.28/09.29 (09.89/09.90) per troy ounce respectively. Precious metals lost amid falling oil price and a weak equity market, traders informed. Following are the spot silver and gold closing prices: Silver (per kg) .999 grade: Rs 17,055 Gold (per 10 gm): Standard mint 99.5 purity: Rs 11,720 Pure gold 99.9 purity: Rs 11,785.
