Nashik, Nov 13 (UNI) Accusing the Mumbai Anti-terrorism squad of physically harassing Malegaon blast accused Lieutenant Colonel Prasad Shrikant Purohit, one of his kin has demanded medical check-up of Purohit by an elite panel.
Vilas Dalvi, father-in-law of Lt Col Purohit, today filed an affidavit regarding this in a local court, which accepted the application and asked the prosecution to file its say on November 15.
In the affidavit, he has mentioned that the ATS had tortured Purohit physically, leading to a fracture in one of his fingers and injury to both the knees.
The affidavit has demanded not a medical check-up of Purohit by a five-member elite panel consisting of a civil surgeon, two senior medical practitioners and two army medical officers.
The affidavit also demanded that Purohit should be produced in the Nashik court to verify its facts.
