Naga legislators end Agri mission to China
Kohima, Nov 13 (UNI) A delegation of eleven Naga legislators and one government officer recently visited China on an agricultural and food processing mission, organized by India Alliance Centre.
Official sources here today informed that the delegation left Nagaland on October 19 to join their counterparts from Assam, Meghalaya, Maharashtra and Chattisgarh.
The delegation included Parliamentary Secretaries, Leader of Opposition and legislators of the backward districts of Mon, Tuensang, Kiphire and Longleng and the Project Officer of the Department of Under Development Areas (DUDA).
The delegation visited several places including the Great Wall, Nest Stadium and Summer Palace in Beijing, Sangai Museum, Green Tea Processing units, Tibetan Ayurvedic Centre, Agriculture Product Processing Base at Zhongshan, Corn Industry Zone, Food, Fruit, Vegetable and Meat processing units and the Liaoning Xindadi Industry Development Group.
The delegation also had discussion with the Director of Shenyang Rural Economic Committee and visited the Academy of Agriculture Science at Shenyang, Shanghai domestic airport.
The mission was funded by DUDA, sources added.
