Hindu organisations take out rally against Congress
Panvel, Raigad, Nov 13 (UNI) Local leaders of the Shiv Sena, BJP and other Hindu organisations today came together to lambast the Congress for labelling ''Hindus as terrorists''.
Resolving to teach Congress a lesson in the coming Lok Sabha and Assembly election, they said by labelling Hindus as 'terrorists,' Congress was only trying to obtain the Muslim vote-bank.
The leaders had organised a rally ''Naamdindi'' from Panvel Bus Stand, in Raigad district, that later converged into a public meeting. They also submitted a memorandum to the Panvel Tehsildar Dattatrey Kedari, opposing the demand to ban Hindu organisations.
The leaders, including Shiv Sena MLA Devendra Satam, Party Raigad chief Baban Patil, BJP Raigad President Balasaheb Patil, Shetkari Kamgar Party MLA Vivek Patil, also opposed the permission granted to Dow Chemical Company to set up their plant at Chakan near Pune.
