Patna, Nov 13 (UNI) Describing as a 'true reflection' of the recent happenings in Mumbai against the north Indians, the hero cum producer of the new Bollywood film 'Deshdrohi', Kamaal R Khan said the flim would not generate any ill feelings among the viewers against the Maharashtrians.
Speaking to newsmen here yesterday prior to the formal release of the film, Khan said he belonged to Uttar Pradesh and came across a lot of 'humiliation' during the early period of his stay in Mumbai which he tried to project in the film.
He, however, described it 'just a co-incidence' of the recent happenings in Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra against the north Indians.
''I had planned to release the film in November long time ago and it was just a coincidence that the recent attacks on north Indians by a section of Mumbaikars took place last month generating a nationwide protest,'' Mr Khan said but denied that such happenings might push up the sales and the number of viewership elsewhere in the country.
Referring to the depiction of largescale corruption among the present day politicians in his film apart from violence, Mr Khan said it was also the true reflection of the prevailing all India scenario.
Elaborating his role in the movie as an educated youth from a lower middle class family of Uttar Pradesh who went to Mumbai in search of a better job, but was soon forced to become a part of the underworld and a serial killer of corrupt politicians and others, Khan said during the entire journey he had to face series of humiliation and harassment for being honest and a north Indian.
The film which introduced Khan as one of the star actors, was directed by Jagdish Sharma.
The movie also has a long list of well known Bollywood artistes including Gracy Singh of 'Lagan' fame as the heroine, apart from Kim Sharma, Aman Verma, Ranjit, Kader Khan, Raza Murad, Avtaar Gill and superstar of Bhojpuri films Manoj Tiwari.
