Indore, Nov 13 (UNI) ''Bharat Sarakar Ke Vibhag Jaise Railway, Income Tax, Excise, Bank, Bima, FCI, me Rishwat Manganewalon ko Range Hath Pakadaiye, CBI Ko Suchana De phone mobile or landline par : Sender CBI Bhopal.'' This message is flashed across the screens of all mobile phones in Madhya Pradesh under a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) drive to create awareness among the public against corruption.
Under this endeavour, CBI told all the GSM and CDMA service providers like BSNL, Airtel, Idea, Vodaphone, Reliance and Tata Indicom that if bribe was demanded from their customers by any official from government office, bank or by any public sector undertaking then they should inform CBI office about the menace.
CBI also asked them to send the SMS to their customers so that they could provide the corruption-related information to CBI.
After the launch of this drive, several complaints have been received via SMS from the public, official sources said, adding a total of 40 people were arrested under this drive last month and investigations in some suspicious cases were in progress.
