Tomar asks Puar, Verma to get bail soon
Indore, Nov 12 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh BJP President Narendra Singh Tomar today asked state minister Tukojirao Puar and former MP Phoolchand Verma to get bail as soon as possible.
Mr Tomar informed reporters about this following a meeting with the leaders duo, who were admitted at a hospital here.
He said the health of both the leaders had improved. He had asked them to get bail soon because the party needed them in view of assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh.
Mr Puar and Mr Verma, who is BJP candidate from Sonkatch assembly seat, were arrested for misbehaving with Sonkatch Returning Officer Sanjana Jain and were sent to judicial custody till November 24.
Both were shifted to Maharaja Yashwantrao hospital here after both fell ill.
About misbehaviour with a woman officer by a minister, Mr Tomar said the BJP was a party with democratic values.
He claimed that both leaders were innocent. The BJP would complain to the Election Commission about Ms Jain for not performing her duties properly.
