Team India needs no foreign coach: Mohinder
Gwalior, Nov 12 (UNI) Former test cricketer Mohinder Amarnath today said that Team India does not require a foreign coach.
''Better coordination is needed among the players,'' the Bengal Coach told mediapersons during his team's 4-day Ranji Trophy Plate Group 'B' encounter with Madhya Pradesh at the Captain Roop Singh Stadium here.
On being asked about non-players dominating the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), he said that it would be wrong to say that the players were poorly organised as administration and the game were separate arenas.
Regarding the BCCI ban on the Indian Cricket League, Amarnath said, ''several championhips are organised in the country and a lot of cricket is played. What difference does it make if the game is played under the ICL banner or otherwise?'' When asked about Australian players criticising their Indian counterparts, he said that was the Aussie viewpoint.
''The media hastily presents, sans complete information, reports about abuse during matches,'' Amarnath added.
