Rain in Kerala and Lakshadweep
Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 12 (UNI) Rain occurred at a few places in Kerala and Lakshadweep, as the North-West Monsoon became active due to the formation of a low-pressure area over Bay of Bengal.
The Chief amount of rainfall received in cm were Alappuzha six, Mankpumu five, Kanjirappally three, Cherthala two and Kottayam, Punalur and Vaikom one each, the local weather office sources said here today.
Alappuzha recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 21 dc, the sources added.
Rain or thundershowers will occur at a few places in the state and at isolated places in Lakshadweep.
There was posibility of increase in rainfall over Kerala due to the formation of the low-pressure area, during the next 48 hours, the sources added.
