Islamabad, Nov 12 : Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that his Government will not allow the US to launch ground or air strikes on targets inside its territory, and will take up the issue with the new US administration. The PM said this while speaking in the National Assembly last evening.

"There is a transitional period in the United States, where the Obama-led government is soon going to take charge. We will talk to them about the predator attacks," the Daily Times quoted him as saying while responding to concerns raised by an Opposition legislator over such strikes.

Gilani said he had raised the issue with US Ambassador Anne W Patterson in a meeting on Monday. "I told them we will not allow ground or air strikes on our land," he said and added: "I told them the Pakistani nation and parliament are united against US and NATO strikes in the Tribal Areas.
