Maharashtra batsmen play well, take lead of 45 runs

Nashik, Nov 12 (UNI) Riding on the superb batting Maharashtra scored 393 runs to take a 45 runs lead in their first innings against Andhra pradesh in their Ranji Trophy Elite 'B' match at the Hutatma Anant Kanhere ground here today.

For Maharashtra, Rohan Bhosale added five runs to his overnight tally and was out on 77 as Vijaykumar sent him back. Ameya Srikhande(59) and K Jadav(63) played well. A Bawne made a contribution of 44 runs. But Marashtra's tailenders failed to sustain and collapsed within 33 runs.

Andhra bowler M Suresh took four wickets while Vijaykumar and Watekar grobed two wickets each.

In reply visitors made only two runs in one over. At stums Watekar was giving company to Reddy.
