Former West Bengal Chief Secretary dies
Kolkata, Nov 12 (UNI) Former West Bengal Chief Secretary Rathin Sengupta died here following a prolonged illness.
He was 80.
Mr Sengupta, who passed away on Moday night, had suffered a cerebral stroke a few months ago and was unwell since then.
He had served as the state home secretary and District Magistrate of 24-Parganas. He was also the chairman of Public Service Commission and a member of the West Bengal Human Rights Commission.
