Guwahati, Nov 12 (UNI) The Assam government today announced of moving legal proceedings against former Union minister and BJP leader Bijoya Chakrabarty for allegedly inciting people to take out a procession with the victims' bodies immediately after the 30/10 Assam serial blasts.

The BJP and RSS were also severely criticized for 'inciting' public disturbances and communal tensions in the aftermath of the blasts, that left over 80 dead.

'' Bijoya Chakrabarty will not go unaccounted for the procession she instructed her supporters to take out with bodies of blast victims after the Ganeshguri blast,'' Assam government spokesperson and Cabinet minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sharma said here.

The senior BJP leader was recorded on television footage as directing her supporters to board two bodies on a hand-cart at the Ganeshguri blast site, which were later carried in a procession till the gates of the state secretariat, less than half-kilometre from the blast site.

Though Ms Chakrabarty did not take part in the procession in person, Dr Sharma claimed that the persons who pulled the hand-cart and participated have been identified from television footage as BJP supporter.

No local people were involved in the vandalism at the site but all were BJP and RSS men, Dr Sharma added. Unruly mob had laid seige of the Ganeshguri blast site, setting on fire an ambulance and fire tenders, with authorities clamping curfew to control the situation.

Dr Sharma maintained that three to four victims at the particular site could have been saved had not the mob created disturbances.

The ULFA and NDFB carried out the blasts and BJP and RSS worsened the aftermath, he said, adding, just as ULFA and NDFB must be condemned, the BJP and RSS must also be condemned for their nefarious design to communalize terror.

He informed that cases will be framed against those involved in inciting crowd disturbance with government and police identifying the people with help of video footage.
