Dilawar, Dhariwal and 112 others file nominations in Rajasthan
Jaipur, Nov 12 (UNI) Welfare Minister Madan Dilawar(Atru-BJP) and former minister Shanti Kumar Dhariwal(Kota-North-Congress) were among 114 candidates, who filed nomination for the December 4 Assembly elections in Rajasthan today.
With this, total number of contestants who entered the fray since November 10, has gone up to 210 even as data from some of the 200 assembly segments was yet to be received, an Election Office spokesman said.
As per the schedule announced by the Commission, the filing of nominations will continue till November 17, scrutiny will be done on November 18 and withdrawals can be made by November 20.
The polling in all the 200 assembly constituencies will be held on December 4 and counting will be done on December 8, the Spokesman said.
Around 3.62 crore voters are eligible to exercise their franchise even as the process of continuous revision of electoral rolls was on. Around 42,200 polling booths were being set up for the polling.
