Bhopal, Nov 12: Leader of the Opposition in Madhya Pradesh Assembly Jamuna Devi today claimed that people were anguished against BJP on many counts and Congress would encash the anti-BJP wave lashing at different levels.

Ms Jamuna Devi told UNI here that anti-incumbancy wave was a normal phenomenon and Congress was removed from power following the same reason five years ago. The Prominent tribal Congress leader believed that Congress would take benefit of this situation.

Besides this, it was apparent that voters were longing for a 'change' in present assembly polls as they were fed up with the BJP's public representatives due to misrule, corruption, nepotism, and inability.

''Insecurity, malnutrition, water and power crisis and construction of inferior roads in the name of development will benefit Congress,'' she said, adding that Congress also had its big vote bank.

Talking on non projection of chief ministerial nominee before polls, Ms Jamuna Devi said that there was a proper constitutional process of selection of chief minister after the polls and Congress was following the same procedure.

She pointed out that a balance had been maintained between the new and old leaders as Congress was full of several bigwigs in the state and the leaders were jointly conducting the campaign.

Citing the tribals welfare as the party's priority, Ms Jamuna added that to provide land to the landless tribals under Forest Tribes Act was also in their priority list.
