Kolkata, Nov 12 (UNI) Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) today announced a new date, December 14, for the felicitation of former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly, who retired from the international cricket after India's historic win against Australia in Nagpur on Monday.
Earlier on November 7, the CAB had announced December 7 as the felicitation day for India's most successful skipper.
But CAB president Jagmohan Dalmiya today said the programme had been deferred by a week for logistic reason.
CAB would felicitate India's most successful cricket captain Sourav Ganguly at Eden Gardens on December 7.
Although the details of the function were yet to be finalised, the CAB is understood to make it on a grand scale.
Dalmiya also announced some cricket development programmes for Bengal by dividing the state into four zones for which Rs one crore had been earmarked.
This decision was taken after a working committee meeting of the CAB earlier today.
