Advani's ''Vijay Sankalp yatra'' in AP tomorrow
Hyderabad, Nov 12 (UNI) The stage is set for the ''Vijay Sankalp Yatra'' of Bharatiya Janata Party Prime Ministerial candidate L K Advani here tomorrow to prepare the party cadre for the coming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.
Projecting the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) as an alternative to the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha will highlight the ''omissions and commissions'' of the Manmohan Singh government, including failure to check increasing acts of terror and spiralling prices of essential commodities, party sources said.
''The situation which prevailed in 1998 when the BJP fought the elections on its own and won 18 per cent of the votes and four Lok Sabha seats, prevails in the state now,'' they claimed, adding Mr Advani would reiterate that the BJP alone could create a separate Telangana state.
Mr Advani was also expected to make an announcement on waiver of loans of farmers upto Rs 50,000 if the party was voted to power, they added.
The party had arranged three special trains to the state capital from Sirpur Kagaznagar, Kakinada and Anantapur and over 2000 buses from different parts of the state, besides other modes of transport, to mobilise ''lakhs of activists'' for the rally.
Scooter rallies would be taken out tomorrow from different parts of the city to the Parade Grounds, which has been colourfully decked up for the event.
