25 cases decided by Lok Adalats in Kashmir
Srinagar, Nov 12 (UNI) As many as 25 cases were decided amicably by two Lok Adalats in the Kashmir valley, official spokesman said today.
He said a Lok Adalat was held in the court premises at Ganderbal today, in which 42 cases were taken up.
Of these 18 cases were decided amicably among the parties.
A similar Adalat was held at Munsif Court Sumbal Sonawari.
He said 20 cases were taken up for disposal, of which seven were disposed off amicably.
Lok Adalats in the Kashmir valley have become very popular and thousands of cases, including some pending for several decades, were resolved amicably since January this year.
