UP DGP cautions any more harassment of home guards
Lucknow, Nov 11 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Vikram Singh has directed the district police chiefs and all other senior police officials to check harassment of home guards.
Passing instructions to all the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSPs), SPs, district chiefs, Inspector General of Police (IG) (zone), DIGs (range) of the state today, Mr Singh said some policemen were taking out their personal works from the home guards on duty.
Not only this, on objection, the police personnel harass them and mark them absent, he added.
The in-charge of the police stations would be liable, if any more complaint cames to fore in this regard, the DGP warned.
Mr Singh had swung into action on increasing complaints in this connection.
