Sasaram, Nov 11 (UNI) Two policemen were suspended today for their alleged bid to help the accused of a criminal case lodged at Itahri police station in Rohtas district.
Police said the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Amrendra Kumar Ambedkar suspended the officer-in-charge of Itahri police station Sushil Kumar and another policeman Ram Babu Singh of the same police station, with immediate effect.
DIG has also directed to initiate departmental proceeding against the erring policemen soon, police added.
Both the policemen were facing charge of extending help to an officer who was booked for allegedly misappropriating the government fund. They were also charged with ignoring instruction of their seniors during investigation of the case, police said.
