SR to run special trains during Sabarimala festival season

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 11 (UNI) The Southern Railway will run special trains during the Sabarimala festival season to clear the extra rush of passengers during November and December.

The Ernakulam-Bangalore special will leave Ernakulam on Thursdays at 2115 hrs and arrive Bangalore at 1000 hrs, the next day, a Southern Railway release said here today.

The first special from Ernakulam will run on November 13 and the last special will be on December 25.

In the return direction, Bangalore-Ernakulam special will leave Bangalore City on Fridays at 1850 hrs and arrive Ernakulam at 0630 hrs, the next day.

The first train from Bangalore will run on November 14 and the last on December 26, it added.

Another Ernakulam-Bangalore special will leave Ernakulam on Mondays at 1840 hrs and arrive Bangalore at 0630 hrs, the next day. The first Special train from Ernakulam will run on November 17 and the last special would be on November 29.

In the return direction the Bangalore-Ernakulam special will leave Bangalore City on Tuesday at 1715 hrs and arrive Ernakulam at 0420 hrs.

The first special from Bangalore will operate on November 18 and the last on December 30, the release added.
