'Sadbhawana Melawa' to be held at Shivaji Park on Nov 15
Mumbai, Nov 11 (UNI) Over a lakh people from different faiths will take part in the Sadbhawana Melawa at Shivaji Park in Dadar here, organised by the Bombay Catholic Sabha on November 15 to protest the escalating communal and religous violence in the country.
Speaking to mediapersons today, Bombay Catholic Sabha president Dolphy D'Souza said the rally will be a platform for the common man to protest against bomb and mob terrorism and demand for the rule of law to prevail.
''Our message is that we are Indians first, and are striving for communal harmony and peace,'' Mr D'Souza said.
He said that the rally was an inter-religion gathering with 43 organizations including business and community groups participating.
Regarding the use of Shivaji Park for rally, Mr D'Souza said, however, the space is synonymous with political rallies, this time it would provide a platform for the common man.
