Police recover carton containing 19 crude bombs

Kannur, Nov 11 (UNI) Police recovered a carton containing 19 crude bombs and bomb making materials from a plot at Cheruvanchery in the Kannavam police station limits today.

Police said the bombs were recovered in raids carried out in the nearby areas of the Athiyarkkavu temple, where two RSS activists were killed in a bomb explosion yesterday.

Forensic experts from Thiruvananthapuram, who collected materials from the blast site, suspect that the explosion occurred while making or transplanting a number of bombs.

Meanwhile, unidentified groups threw a bomb at a club run by the RSS at Chirakkal. Police seized the unexploded device.
