Novatium ties up with BSNL; offers Nova netPC at Rs 2,999
New Delhi, Nov 11 (UNI) After joining hands with MTNL, Novatium Solutions Pvt Ltd today tied up with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) to offer its Nova netPC with the state-run company's broadband connection.
Launching Novatium's Nova netPC across the country, Telecom Minister A Raja said, ''One of the key factors that will enable broadband penetration is an affordable computing access device.
It is very heartening to see that Indian companies like Novatium Solutions have developed indigenous technology to make this happen.'' ''Bundling with BSNL broadband is the right step in achieving our national goal,'' he added.
Nova netPC, available at a starting price of Rs 2,999 with a monthly subscription of Rs 175 (plus taxes), is maintenance free and allows to do computing without hassles of software upgradation.
As part of the deal, state-owned BSNL will take computing to the masses with the help of Novatium's globally patented breakthrough technology ''DUDM''. The attractive broadband packages from BSNL for Nova services start at Rs 99 a month.
Meanwhile, BSNL CMD Kuldeep Goyal said, ''With huge connectivity and infrastructure, the state-run company expects to give a new wind to the computing and broadband revolution in the country through bundling with products.'' Novatium Solution CEO Alok Singh said, ''We are now looking at attaining a subscriber base of 1,25,000 in the country by the end of the financial year,'' he added.
