Thousands flock to see Nepal's Buddha Boy
Kathmandu, Nov 11: Ram Bahadur Bamjan, the 18-year-old boy known as 'Buddha Boy' appeared at a spiritual discourse in Southern Nepal. Bamjan, now known as Guru Palden, was meditating for past three years at a forest in Bara district in Southern Nepal.
According to reports, Bamjan would bless people in his week-long public appearance. In his speech on Monday, Nov 10, Bamjan said he would bring peace through the meditation. ''Last year, approximately 40 thousand devotees were blessed by Guru Palden over the five days from October 19 to 24,'' an official site of Bamjan said.
Bamjan has drawn thousands of visitors and media attention for spending months in meditation without eating and drinking since 2005.
