Mumbai, Nov 11 (UNI) The Bombay High Court today adjourned till tomorrow, the state government's plea challenging the anticipatory bail granted to Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray by the Sessions Court at Kalyan in a case of destruction of property at Dombivli in neighbouring Thane district.

Justice V K Tahilrmani asked the state advocate what was the urgency in the matter before fixing the hearing for tomorrow.

On October 22, Kalyan Sessions Judge K K Tantrapale had passed the order after the prosecution sought time to file a reply on the bail plea.

The state has challenged the interim relief granted to Mr Thackeray on his anticipatory bail application, claiming it to be ''illegal'', as Raj's custody was transferred to Kalyan railway police.

''Once Raj's custody has been transferred to the railway police in another case, the Sessions court cannot grant him relief in that matter. The relief should have been granted by the Kalyan railway court,'' the state argued in its plea.
