If Obama can win why not me? says Jolly
New Delhi, Nov 11 (UNI) Senior BJP leader and party's candidate for the New Delhi Assembly seat Vijay Jolly today filed his nomination exuding confidence of giving a tough fight to Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.
Drawing comparisons between his contest against Ms Dikshit and that between the US Democratic party nominee Barack Obama and Republican John McCain, Mr Jolly, who filed his nomination from the Jamnagar election office, said,''If Barack Obama can win against Republican John Mccain, why can't Vijay Jolly win against the Chief Minister.
Accompanied by party prime ministerial candidate L K Advani's son Jayant, former Delhi Chief Minister Madan Lal Khurana, Delhi Mayor Arti Mehra, BJP leader and the ''favourite bahu'' of the small screen Smriti Irani, Mr Jolly said he was ready for a political debate with the Chief Minister on the issues concerning the constituency.
''I challenge the Chief Minister for a debate at any place of her choice,''Mr Jolly said.
