Raipur, Nov 11 (UNI) Defending the RSS over the Prayga Singh case related with terrorist activities, BJP today said that Congres will have to 'pay the price' for raking up the issue of Hindu terrorism to appease the minority community.
''The Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Maharashtra was working like a political outfit and was leaking the investigation report of the terrorist link of Sadhvi Pragya on day to day basis'', BJP Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu told a news conference here.
''Hindus cannot be terrorists and now using the name of 'Hindu terrorism', the Centre was insulting the majority community, he stressed.
Defending the RSS over the terrorism issue, he said 'love for ISI had led to the RSS bashing by the Maharashtra police and with full support of the centre'.
However, the former BJP president said that any comment on the Pragya Singh issue could be made only after completing the investigation. ''How can anyone react when there is no concrete evidence against the Sadhvi'', he asked.
Simultaneously, Mr Naidu also decried the attack on North Indians in Maharashtra.''The centre and the Maharashtra government have failed to protect the lives of the people and if such things continues then the country's unity and intregrity would be at stake'', he said.
About the election scene in Chhattisgarh, Mr Naidu said Congress has no moral right to seek vote from the poeple as it has done nothing in the past 50 years of its rule.
Claiming that the last 5 years rule of BJP in the state had seen the pace of development and people were in a mood to give it another chance, he said the Congress, if it came to power in the state, will derail the pace of development.
