Mumbai, Nov 11 (UNI) A court here today fixed December 5 as the date for the final hearing and judgement on a revision petition filed by city-based social activist, Vinod Jain, against Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat for the latter's alleged 'obscene' dance performance in a five-star hotel in a western suburb on December 31, 2006.
Ms Sherawat's advocate today filed 'vakalatnama' in the court and prayed for adjournment as he wanted to take instructions from his client.
Upon this, Additional Sessions Judge S T Mahajan granted time and fixed December 5 for final hearing and order.
Mr Jain has filed a case on the basis of television footage of Mallika's dance performance on the eve of New Year celebrations, alleging that she had worn a skin-suit for her 45-minute dance performance at the hotel.
Earlier, Metropolitan Magistrate G R Wankhade had dismissed Mr Jain's petition on the ground that there was no substance in the evidence submitted by the complainant against Ms Sherawat and others.
Thereafter, he challenged the order in the Sessions court.
