Will Barack Obama's daughters study in a public school?

Washington, Nov 11 : An anonymous caller has sparked rumours that U.S. President-elect Barack Obama's daughters, Sasha and Malia, may study in a public school by inquiring about the procedure of children's admission from a Northwest Washington school.

Lynn Main, the principal of Lafayette Elementary School, revealed that the caller gave an address: 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue - the White House - and said there would be two kids.

The principle further said that the caller wanted to know about the process required for enrolling kids who don't live within the school's boundaries.

"They have never given a name. Nobody's called about touring, coming to visit the school or anything," Politico.com quoted Main as saying.

"We took it as a hoax or something," added the principal.

Asked whether she would make an exception by admitting the first daughters, Main said: "Well, these two kids would get in. I can't imagine saying no.
