Hyderabad, Nov 11: The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) on Tuesday, Nov 11 observed the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna late Moulana Abul Kalam Azad, former Indian National Congress President and first Education Minister of India, as National Education Day on Tuesday, Nov 11 at Gandhi Bhavan. PCC President D Srinivas garlanded the great leader's portrait and paid floral tributes. He recalled the yeomen service of this great son of the soil for enriching the secular fabric of the nation.
APCC Minority Department Chairman Mohammed Sirajuddin, former MP Khaleerur Rahman, P V Raghuvulu, G Niranjan, Thippe Swamy, Padma Raju and Shrimathi Tripurana Venkataratnam and others were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Mr Srinivas directed the PCC representatives, looking after the party membership drive, to be Observers of their respective assigned districts for the November 14 and November 19 programmes and coordinate with the Presidents of DCC/CCCs, incharge Ministers, heads of NSUI, Youth Congress and Mahila Congress local legislators, MPs and leaders for successful completion of the programmes.
