Chennai, Nov 10 (UNI) Sri Ramachandra University (SRU) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kyushu Dental College, Japan, providing for collaboration in research and exchange of scholars and faculty.
The MoU was signed by Prof S Rangaswami, Vice Chancellor, SRU and Prof Ryuji Hosokawa, Head of the Department, Prosthodontics of the Japan based Dental College, a University release here said.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Hosokawa said currently his department was conducting research in Oral Hygiene Index Profile, Bone Biology, immediate Loading of Implants and Computed Guided Surgery in which the students and research scholars from Sri Ramachandra Dental College can participate.
S Rangaswami described the MOU as yet another milestone in the progress of the Sri Ramachandra Dental College.
S P Thyagarajan, Director Chief Advisor Research, SRU said the MoU would help in launching joint research projects in vital areas.
V R Venkatachalam, Chancellor, SRU, who honoured the chief guest also launched the book ''Molecular Modelling and Drug Design, written by Anand Solomon, Assistant Professor in the department of Bioinformatics.
