Kolkata, Nov 10 (UNI) Former captain Sourav Ganguly, who retired from the international cricket today, will not be seen during the felicitation ceremony of soccer icon Diego Maradona in December.
West Bengal Sports Minister Subhas Chakraborty today said the Argentina coach will be accorded an ''unprecetended'' reception at Salt Lake Stadium when the soccer icon comes here on December 6 and 7.
When asked if the organisers had any plan to invite Ganguly, also a cricketing icon for the country, Mr Chakraborty said, '' Soccer and cricket are different game. '' Mr Chakraborty, CPI(M) Lok Sabha member Shamik Lahiri and Celebrity Management Group (CMG), arranging visit of Maradona, today announced Diego's itinerary in a news conference.
