Guntur, Nov 10 (UNI) Over 400 people, including TDP leaders, relatives, wife and mother of Moddu Sreenu, the prime accused in the murder case of former TDP minister Paritala Ravi, who was killed in Ananthapur jail yesterday, staged a ''rasta roko'' on the Addanki-Nakeerekal road, demanding the Andhra Pradesh government to conduct post-mortem of sreenu's body.
Police said the agitators held the ''rasta roko'' for about four hours bringing vehicular traffic to a halt.
They called off dharna on assurance of Narasaraopeta Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhusudhana Rao that he would inform the state government of the demand.
Sreenu's wife Lakshmi Rajyam demanded the state government to identify and punish the conspirators involved in her husband's murder, besides ordering an inquiry by a sitting High Court Judge into the issue.
Earlier, the body was brought from Ananthapur to his native village Challagundla for performing his last rites.
