Ahmednagar, Nov 10 (UNI) Former Maharashtra revenue Minister and founder of Kranti Sena, Shalinitai Patil today said her party would contest the next Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the state.
Ms Patil, who was speaking at a function organised by farmers here, said her newly formed party ''Kranti Sena'' will contest over a hundred Assembly seats and 15 Lok Sabha constituencies.
Ms Patil also justified the agitation of MNS chief Raj Thackeray for the cause of Maharashtrian people. ''I have nothing to do with the MNS agitation, but everybody should respect Maharashtrians'', she said adding locals should be given preference in jobs.
She was expelled from NCP, a few years back, for her utterances against the party and later formed her own outfit.
