Islamabad, Nov 10 (UNI) India will hand over 30 Pakistani prisoners to the Pakistani authorities on November 14, a media report said today.
The prisoners, who have completed their terms in Indian jails will be handed over to the autorities at the Wagah border, the daily ' Nation' quoted official sources as saying.
The gesture comes in the wake of the recommendation made by the Pakistan-India Judicial Committee on Prisoners which said the prisoners who had completed their terms and whose nationality had been confirmed should be released from jail as soon as possible.
The two countries have also exchanged lists of prisoners.
Officially, about 370 Pakistanis are currently detained in Indian jails.
However, Pakistani officials claim over 600 Pakistanis are in Indian jails and over 150 have completed their terms.
