Hyderabad, Nov 10 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Legislature Party (CLP) today strongly refuted allegations made by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu that the Government was involved in the murder of Moddu Sreenu, prime accused in the former TDP Minister Paritala Ravi murder case in Ananthapur jail.
Addressing a press conference, Government Chief Whip N Kiran Kumar Reddy along with E Prathap Reddy and K Janardhana Reddy here, alleged that it had become a practice for Mr Naidu to make allegations against the Government and Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy for any incident in the state.
Condemning the murder of Moddu Sreenu in Ananthapur jail, he said the incident happened in the prison and it was not good on the part of the opposition leader to make allegations against the Chief Minister, his son Jagan and Panchayat Raj Minister J C Diwakar Reddy since they were not at all involved in it.
The Chief Minister had already stated that the government was ready for any type of inquiry even though the DIG Prisons, Rayalaseema region, had already suspended two warders in this connection and was investigating the incident, he added.
He recalled that when the opposition leader made allegations against the Chief Minister's son Jagan in the murder of Paritala Ravi, Dr Reddy had ordered CBI inquiry and the central agency had already filed chargesheet in the court which did not mention the involvement of Jagan in the case.
He alleged that Mr Naidu was levelelling allegations against the government and its leaders with a 'political motive' to mislead the people.
