BJP releases dossier on 10-year Congress misrule in Delhi
New Delhi, Nov 10 (UNI) Branding the Sheila Dikshit government as the 'most corrupt ever', the BJP today said it would probe all corruption cases against it and spare no guilty person, even if it was the chief minister, when it came to power.
Releasing the 'chargesheet' against the Congress' 10-year rule in Delhi, party's chief ministerial candidate V K Malhotra said all corruption cases during its tenure, specially those recommended for action by the Public Accounts Committee, would be probed by the CBI.
''No one found guilty would be spared even if it was the chief minister,'' said Mr Malhotra adding that the chargesheet was virtually a dossier on Ms Dikshit's inefficienct and corrupt rule wherein the common man suffered the most.
Party general secretary Arun Jaitley said the economic downturn had badly affected Delhi and the government, which until now was in denial mode, was now developing cold feet after sitting idle during times when there was artificial bull run in the market.
''On one hand there is economic recession and on the other, prices of essential commodities are rising and between all this the government was expressing its helplessness leaving the people to suffer on their own.'' While inflation was punching holes in people's pocket, it was the government's soft policy on terror because of which Delhiites were living in fear, he said.
''Na jeb salamat hain, na jaan, Congress ke rajya mein (neither people's pocket was safe nor their lives),'' Mr Jaitley quipped.
Enumerating the various scams during Sheila Dikshit government, state party president Harshvardhan said whether it was electricity, water, transport or any other department, Congress was involved in one scandol or the other.
