Shibu attacks Tata for not helping tribal people
Jamshedpur, Nov 9 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren today criticised Tata Steel and said in spite of being a 'Jharkhandi' this company has done nothing for the people.
Mr Soren said he would not allow the Tatas to have their way.
Addressing the people at tribal festival 'Sorai' here, he said,'' Tata is number one Jharkhandi but they had done nothing for the state's people.'' ''They are not giving money for the water they are getting from the government,'' he added.
''Tribal people are poor and still making their ends meet by selling 'datuns'(tooth brushes) outside the company premises,'' he said, adding that,'' the company does not care for the problems of these people.'' ''I will not ask for aid from the company but would not allow them to have their way as they had done during previous Chief Ministers' regime,'' he said.
Apart from Russi Modi, (who in the early nineties was the Chaiman and Managing Director of the company), other officials are not right, he alleged.
