Security lapse; youth manages to sneak into airport apron
Chennai, Nov 9 (UNI) In a major security lapse, a 20-year-old youth managed to sneak into the apron area of the Anna International Airport here this evening causing anxious moments to the security staff.
The intruder, identified as Damodaran hailing from Karimnagar district of Andhra Pradesh, was apprehended by the Airports Authority of India staff and handed over to the Central Industrial Security force (CISF) which is in charge of airport security.
He spoke Telugu when grilled by CISF personnel, who later handed him over to the airport police. He is being interrogated by the Q-Branch police and IB officials.
It is not known how he managed to enter the apron area of the airport without being noticed by the CISF.
