Minister denies role in murder

Vijayawada, Nov 9 (UNI) Reacting to the killing of Moddu Sreenu, the main accused in TDP Legislator murdur case, by an undertrial prisoner in Ananthapur jail, Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Minister J C Diwakar Reddy today said he had no role in the incident.

''Let an inquiry be conducted into the murder episode so that the truth would be revealed,'' he told mediapersons here.

He was not at all aware of the murder which took place in the morning, the Minister said, adding one of his followers informed him about the incident.

Meanwhile, another Minister Ramanarayana Reddy denied TDP's charges that the Congress government was behind the murder.

He said the police had swiftly arrested the accused, who was involved in TDP Legislator Paritala Ravindra's murder, and sent him to remand.

The allegations by the opposition TDP was only for gaining political mileage, he added.
