Melbourne, Nov 9 (UNI) All-rounder Andrew Symonds admitted that going out for fishing instead of attending a compulsory team meeting was a mistake.
Symonds was axed from the Australian cricket team after he skipped a team meeting in Darwin this August and went fishing instead. He was suspended from the team, following which he was put on mental rehabilitation.
''That wasn't a decision, it was just a mistake. It wasn't like I went out and got drunk and had a fight. I just made a mistake,'' Symonds said in his new book 'Roy on the Rise'.
''I was in bed early, got up early to go fishing and just misread my team sheet,'' he added.
