Jammu, Nov 9 (UNI) Civil secretariat of Jammu and Kashmir will open tomorrow at the winter capital here for the next six months, a tradition of bi-annual 'Darbar Move' being followed by the erstwhile princely State since 1882.
The Darbar Move offices will open with the special guard of honour by the state police to Governor N N Vohra, who will also inspect the civil secretariat.
Special orders were issued to the Municipal Corporation authorities for keeping the city clean, particularly the area around the civil secretariat.
Roads, fences and government structures were given a facelift, with workers putting in extra hours to meet the deadline.
The practice of bi-annual Darbar Move was adopted by the Dogra rulers of the state to forge an emotional integration among the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
