5 JD(U) members resignations, an eyewash
Patna,
Nov
9:
The
Congress
on
Saturday,
Nov
8
maintained
that
the
resignation
submitted
by
five
JD(U)
Lok
Sabha
MPs
was
an
eyewash
and
drama,
which
should
be
dismissed
with
the
contempt
it
deserves.
The
party
insisted
that
the
text
of
the
resignation
letter
was
such
that
the
resignation
tendered
would
not
be
accepted.
Besides,
the
letter
should
have
been
submitted
to
Lok
Sabha
Speaker
Somnath
Chatterjee.
In
this
regard,
state
Congress
chief
Anil
Kumar
Sharma,
said
that
if
it
would
have
been
a
one-line
resignation,
then
there
was
possibility
of
its
being
accepted.
As
a
matter
of
fact,
the
JD(U)
has
invented
and
enacted
the
resignation
drama
on
the
eve
of
the
parliamentary
elections
to
distract
the
minds
of
people
from
the
failure
of
the
Nitish
Kumar
government
in
the
state,
Sharma
said,
adding
that
CM
Nitish
Kumar
had
failed
on
every
front.
According
to
him,
the
resignation
drama
had
left
no
impact,
because
JD(U)
should
have
broken
its
ties
with
the
NDA
to
which
Shiv
Sena
belongs.
Continuance
of
the
tie
with
the
Shiv
Sena
and
protesting
against
the
violence
on
the
Biharis
do
not
gel,
Sharma
said.
