SP accuses Mayawati for poor law and order in UP
Lucknow, Nov 8 (UNI) The Samajwadi Party (SP) has reproached the Mayawati-led Uttar Pradesh government for raising hollow slogan of 'Sarvajan Hitaye, Sarvajan Sukhaye' even after failing to maintain law and order in the state.
''The law and order structure has completely collapsed under the present regime. Traders are being robbed and killed in broad daylight in Lucknow and other parts of the state,'' said UP SP working president Shivpal Singh Yadav here.
The traders were being indicted fakely and also harassed, he alleged saying, as many as 170 traders were fakely trapped in Tikuniya area in the Lakhimpur district last week.
It reflects the dismal condition of the state under the ongoing stint of Ms Mayawati, who instead of securing people was sheltering the outlaws, the SP leader charged.
''At least now, the state government should stop claiming its policy of 'Sarvajan Hitaye, Sarvajan Sukhaye' as complete anarchy prevailed in UP, ''Mr Yadav said.
