Nashville, US, Nov 8 (UNI) Unseeded Indian Davis cupper Somdev Devvarman continued his fiery form, upsetting second seed and local favourite Bobby Reynolds to sail into the final of the 75,000 ATP Challenger here.
The Indian stunned the world number 86 Reynolds 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 to advance into the last two stage in the hard court event.
However, this win over Reynolds is Somdev's second in as many meetings. He had earlier defeated the second seed in the pre-quarterfinals of the Challenger event in Lexington, US.
Somdev will next take on world number 91 Robert Kendrick of America in the final encounter.
It, however, turned out to a good day for the Indians as in the doubles' competition the unseeded Indian pair of Harsh Mankad and Ashutosh Singh reached the finals.
In their semifinal encounter, they defeated the American pair of Scott Oudsema and Tim Smyczek 6-2, 2-6, 10-6.
Mankad-Ashutosh next faces the American-Australian pair of Carsten Ball and Travis Rettenmaier in the summit clash.
