Patna, Nov 8 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said the fundamental right of the citizens to earn their livelihood in any part of the country without any discrimination should be protected under any circumstances.

Addressing a public meeting in Buxar, Mr Kumar said it was unfortunate that certain disruptive elements in Maharashtra was hell bent on depriving the fundamental rights of the citizens to earn their livelihood in any part of the country.

''I, alongwith an all party delegation, had met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and demanded to ensure safety for the people of Bihar in Maharashtra as they were under continuous attacks from activists of MNS Chief Raj Thackeray'', he said adding it was distressing to note that no concrete action had been taken in this regard as yet.

''If union ministers from Bihar had seriously pursued the issue with the Centre, the Manmohan Singh government would have been forced to act tough against the Maharshtra government for safety and security of Biharis living in that state'', he maintained.
