Peshawar, Nov 8 : Pakistan Prime Minister's Interior Adviser Rehman Malik has reportedly said that the military operation against the Taliban and Al Qaeda terrorists would continue until their total elimination.

He said this while talking to reporters after a law and order briefing at the Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters in Balahisar Fort.

Reiterating the government's resolve to come down hard on terrorists, he said: "They are killing innocent people, they are enemies of Pakistan's integrity, they are neither serving Islam nor the country."

The government would eliminate terrorism at all costs and stringently act in areas where the government's writ has been challenged, the Daily Times quoted him as saying.

He said all operations would continue unabated in the NWFP and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) until the restoration of peace.

Responding to a question, he said formulation of a comprehensive strategy was on the cards to prevent rocket attacks on sensitive areas in Peshawar and others parts of the province.
